Job summary

AEG Vision is hiring an Optometric Technician to support optometrists in delivering high‑quality patient care. You’ll perform pre‑test evaluations, assist with diagnostic testing, and manage exam schedules to ensure a smooth patient experience from start to finish.

The role requires familiarity with eye care terminology, prior experience in clinical settings, and industry certifications (CPO, CPOA, CPOT). On‑site work in Missouri is expected. Training and growth opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• Experience evaluating patients for eye exams and dispensing eye exam medications.
• Familiarity with medical terms associated with eye treatment.
• Industry certification (CPO, CPOA, CPOT).

Responsibilities

• Perform preliminary evaluations of patients prior to exam by the Optometrist (dilation, topicals, etc.).
• Schedule referrals and manage appointment flow for efficient patient care.
• Maintain patient records in compliance with HIPAA and policies.
• Respond to patient inquiries regarding medications and treatment.
• May perform diagnostic testing with specialty equipment (OCT, Visual Field, etc.).
• Assist with documentation in EHR and support clerical duties.
