Warby Parker is seeking an Optometric Technician to support eye exam operations in a fast-paced retail setting. You will assist Optometrists with data collection, patient prep, and training for contact lens insertion/removal while maintaining meticulous records.

The role emphasizes patient care, collaboration with doctors and store teams, and adherence to privacy policies in a high-volume environment. Experience in medical settings and optometry training are preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in a medical setting supporting doctors.
• Completion of Optometric Technician training or CPOT certification.
• Familiarity with healthcare technology systems and equipment (EMR, retinal cameras).

Responsibilities

• Act as primary liaison between doctor and patient with strong rapport.
• Perform preliminary clinical data collection (autorefraction, visual acuity, eye pressure, etc.).
• Support in-person and video-assisted eye exams.
• Provide insertion/removal training for contact lenses and train other team members.
• Assist with appointment flow, confirmations, and outreach to ensure seamless visits.
• Maintain accurate data records and prepare reports for medical professionals.
• Ensure compliance with privacy regulations (HIPAA) and store procedures.
