Warby Parker is seeking an Optometric Technician to work alongside our optometrists, delivering a stellar eye exam experience in a high-volume retail store. You will manage patient flow, perform pre-testing, assist with contact lens training, and support video-assisted exams where applicable.

You will collect essential data, maintain meticulous records, and help prepare reports for medical professionals while upholding privacy policies and store procedures.

Qualifications

• Experience in a medical environment preferred.
• Completion of an Optometric Technician training program or CPOT certification.
• Able to learn new medical applications quickly.

Responsibilities

• Act as liaison between doctor and patient, building rapport.
• Perform preliminary data collection (autorefraction, visual acuity, eye pressure).
• Support in person and video assisted eye exams and lens training.
• Assist with appointment flow and follow-up to ensure smooth visits.
• Maintain accurate records and prepare reports for medical professionals.
• Ensure HIPAA/privacy compliance and store cleanliness.
