Job summary

MyEyeDr. is seeking an Optometric Technician to support Doctors of Optometry with patient prep, preliminary testing, and measurements. Training will be provided; some weekend/evening shifts required. You will help ensure a smooth flow of patients and a best-in-class experience.

Candidates should have a high school diploma, be personable, detail-oriented, and eager to learn about vision care. Healthcare background is helpful but not required, with training offered.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; basic math understood.
• Personable with patience and comfort with patients during screening.
• Detail oriented and works closely with the Optometrist.
• Willingness to learn about industry, products, and services.
• Collaborative team player focused on the best patient experience.
• Healthcare/medical/optical background preferred but not required; training provided.

Responsibilities

• Consult with patients, document conditions and medical history for exam prep.
• Maintain smooth patient flow to the Doctor and staff during appointments.
• Ensure patient comfort with procedures they'll undergo.
• Learn to use pretest equipment to perform visual screenings.
• Conduct contact lens training and other preliminary testing.
• Collaborate with doctors and team for a seamless patient experience.
