Job summary

MyEyeDr. is seeking an Optometric Technician to support Doctors of Optometry by preparing patients for exams, performing preliminary testing, and documenting medical history.

No optical experience required; comprehensive training will be provided to learn pretest equipment and vision screenings. You will help maintain smooth patient flow, ensure comfort, assist with contact lens training where applicable, and collaborate with the team to deliver a best-in-class patient experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED with the ability to understand/do basic math.
• Personable, patient and able to comfort patients during screening.
• Detail-oriented and able to work closely with the Optometrist.
• Willingness to learn about industry, products and services.
• Collaborative team player focused on the best patient experience.
• Healthcare/optical background preferred but training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Consult with patients, document conditions and medical history to prep for exam.
• Maintain smooth flow of patients to the Doctor and staff.
• Ensure patient comfort with office procedures.
• Learn to use pretest equipment for visual screenings.
• Conduct contact lens training for applicable patients.
• Collaborate with doctors and team to provide seamless patient experience.
