Zusammenfassung

Visionworks is seeking a part-time Clinical Specialist/Optometric Assistant to deliver a smooth patient experience. You will prep patients for onsite or remote exams, run pre-exam tests, and clearly explain steps to patients while documenting results in EMR.

You'll liaise between patients and Optometrists, assist with both in-store and remote eye exams, and help transition patients to retail associates with clear doctor recommendations. Training is provided.

Qualifikationen

• One year of related experience.
• Optical or Healthcare background preferred.
• Medical office/business professionalism required.
• HS diploma, GED or equivalent related job experience.
• Training provided.

Aufgaben

• Complete patient registration and gather information including Medical History and Ocular Health data into EMR.
• Assist onsite doctor with patient care and eye examinations; explain preliminary testing and document results in EMR.
• Support remote appointments: assist remote eye exam process and document results.
• Transition the patient to a retail associate after the exam and convey doctor recommendations.
• Preauthorize insurance per SOP and schedule follow-up appointments.
• Maintain patient flow and answer clinical questions in person and by phone.
