Job summary

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• 3+ years of experience in a healthcare and/or optical setting.

• Optometric technician certification (Preferred).

Responsibilities

• Train and certify all newly hired doctor’s office associates.
• Observe and coach on quality of assessment.
• Provide scheduling feedback to the Practice Manager to achieve patient exam times.
• Aid opticians by demonstrating product knowledge and recommending vision solutions.
• Coach patients on care and handling of contact lenses.
• Assist with patient care and eye exams, and manage patient records and flow.
• Perform pre-exam tests and assist with diagnosis and treatment.
• Review prescriptions and patient information for accuracy.
• Identify dissatisfied patients and resolve issues.
• Maintain HIPAA-compliant patient records and organize files.
