Job summary

EssilorLuxottica LensCrafters in Lincolnwood, IL seeks a Managing Optometrist to lead medical eyecare services throughout the patient journey, including pre/post-op support where applicable.

The role requires driving clinical excellence, managing staff and KPIs, and building strong Doctor/Patient relationships while maintaining licensure and continuing education. This combines clinical leadership with business acumen in a growing optical care marketplace.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Optometry in good standing.
• Demonstrated leadership/management skills.
• Knowledge of current Optometric technology & practices.
• Knowledge of Medical Optometry, including Billing and Coding.
• Developed communication skills, both verbal & written.
• Strong problem solving & critical thinking skills.
• Organization & time management skills.
• Knowledge of sound business management practices.

Responsibilities

• Creates vision and sets goals with accountability for results in partnership with Regional and Store Managers.
• Leads medical optometry/services and KPI-driven performance.
• Ensures recognition as a medical eyecare provider in the community.
• Oversees staffing, scheduling and training to support patient flow.
• Maintains Doctor/Patient relationships and high-quality clinical care.
• Ensures licensure and continuing education requirements are met.
