Job summary

Visionworks is seeking an OD Tech/Optometric Assistant to be the face of our exam practice. You will guide patients through preliminary testing, introduce them to the optometrist, and help transition them to the sales floor with information to educate on eye care products and services.

The role emphasizes friendly, human service and a bold approach to meeting patient eye care needs, with responsibilities for daily operations, inventory, and phone coverage to support patient experience.

Qualifications

• HS diploma, GED or equivalent related job experience.
• Related customer or patient experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain complete and accurate patient records before conducing preliminary testing.
• Introduce patient to OD and provide OD with important patient information.
• Transition patient from doctor to sales floor and educate on products/services meeting eye care needs.
• Support the store's exam lane maintenance and patient experience goals, including restocking inventory, cleaning equipment, and answering phones.
• Open/close the store/office to support business as needed.
