Job summary

Visionworks of America is seeking a part-time Clinical Specialist (CS)/Optometric Assistant to be the face of the patient journey in our vision care clinics. You will guide patients through preliminary testing, connect them with the OD, and assist on the sales floor with product recommendations to meet eye care needs.

The role emphasizes eye health knowledge, friendly customer service, and smooth transition from examination to shopping, in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• Related customer or patient experience preferred.
• HS diploma, GED or equivalent related job experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain complete and accurate patient records before conducing preliminary testing.
• Introduce patient to OD and provide OD with important patient information.
• Transition patient from doctor to sales floor and provide associates necessary information to educate and recommend products and services.
• Execute day-to-day operational activities to support the store's exam lane maintenance and patient experience goals including restocking inventory, cleaning equipment, and answering phones to meet additional patient needs.
