Job summary

Visionworks is seeking a personable Optometric Assistant to be the face of our exam practice. You'll assist with preliminary testing, welcome patients, and help guide them from the exam to the sales floor, ensuring a smooth, human, and bold experience.

This part-time role requires good customer service, basic eye care knowledge, and the ability to maintain patient records, restock, answer phones, and support store operations while delivering friendly, professional service.

Qualifications

• Related customer or patient experience preferred, but not necessary.
• HS diploma, GED or equivalent related job experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain complete and accurate patient records before conducting preliminary testing.
• Introduce patient to OD and provide OD with important patient information.
• Transition patient from doctor to sales floor and educate on products and services that meet eye care needs.
• Execute day-to-day operational activities to support the store's exam lane maintenance and patient experience goals including: restocking inventory, cleaning equipment, and answering phones.
• Will open/close the store/office to support business as needed.
