Job summary

Visionworks is seeking a friendly OD Tech/Optometric Assistant to support eye exams and patient care. You will guide patients through the Visionworks journey, assist with preliminary testing, and help educate patients on products and services that meet their eye care needs.

The role emphasizes a human, bold approach with strong emphasis on customer service and seamless transition from exam to sales floor. Part-time position with benefits and flexible scheduling to support patient needs.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required, or equivalent related job experience.
• Related customer or patient experience preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain complete and accurate patient records before conducting preliminary testing.
• Introduce patient to OD and provide OD with important patient information.
• Transition patient from doctor to sales floor and provide associates with necessary information to educate and recommend products and services.
• Execute day-to-day operational activities to support the store's exam lane maintenance and patient experience goals including restocking inventory, cleaning equipment, and answering phones to meet patient needs.
• Open/close the store/office to support business as needed.
