Job summary

Visionworks of America seeks a Clinical Specialist/Optometric Assistant to ensure a great patient experience by preparing patients for onsite and remote examinations, performing pre-exam tests, and explaining each step of the process. You will liaise between patients and Optometrists and participate in the initial steps of the patient journey.

One year of related experience is preferred, with an optical or healthcare background. HS diploma or GED required; training provided.

Qualifications

• One year of related experience in optical/healthcare preferred.
• HS diploma or GED required; training provided.
• Ability to explain testing steps and patient journeys clearly.

Responsibilities

• Complete patient registration and medical history in EMR.
• Assist onsite and remote eye examinations; document test results.
• Support remote exams via pre-testing, video conferencing, and testing.
• Preauthorize insurance and schedule exams; manage patient flow.
• Maintain accurate patient records and stock/clean equipment.
