Job summary

OSI Optoelectronics in Hawthorne, CA is seeking an Assembly & Test Operator to join a fast-paced manufacturing team. You will assemble electronic components under a microscope using tweezers, and perform a variety of tests including DC, PIND, temperature, and leak checks to ensure product quality.

You should have a high school diploma or equivalent and be comfortable handling chemicals, solder, and precision instruments. The role offers competitive hourly pay and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; degree optional.
• Manufacturing experience preferred.
• Familiarity with optical inspection and related processes (e.g., eutectic die attach, ultrasonic wire bonding) is a plus.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, Internet and email.
• Able to work with tweezers, microscopes, and chemicals (alcohol, acetone, solder).
• Requires good vision, manual dexterity, and strong multitasking abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assemble electronic components from written to oral instructions under a microscope using tweezers.
• Conducts DC and PIND tests.
• Performs Constant Acceleration and Differential VBE tests.
• Performs Temp Test and related quality checks.
• Performs Laser Mark, Solder Dip, X-Ray, Leak Test, and external visual checks.
• Cross-trained in other related test areas as needed.
• Create documents, reports and spreadsheets interpreting information from written or schedule forms.

• Report quality problems to supervisors to prevent recurrence.
