Job summary

Chipton-Ross Inc. in Hawthorne, CA is seeking an Electromechanical Assembler for a direct hire opportunity. The role involves assembling small components with a microscope, inspecting solder joints, wiring, and staking to IPC J-STD-001, and testing relays or switches.

You will read and follow assembly drawings and procedures, communicate with the Lead and Supervisor as required, and perform routine tasks with general instructions on new assignments. Full-time hours are provided.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

• Ability to work with a microscope
• Ability to read and understand assembly drawings and procedures
• Must be able to read and interpret documents and operation procedures.
• Must have ability to communicate effectively to Lead, Supervisor, Customers (as required) and colleagues
• Must have ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished via written, oral or diagram form.
• Ability to deal with or assist in problem solving.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Works on assignments that are semi-routine in nature. Normally receives general instructions on routine assignments and detailed instructions on new assignments.
• Visual inspection of solder joints, wiring & staking to IPC J-STD-001
• Assembly of small components using a microscope
• Adjustment of Relays or Switches or other electronics
• Testing of Relays or Switches or other electronics

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Must have good eye-hand coordination - dexterity to assemble small parts

REQUIRED EDUCATION:

• Accredited High School Diploma or GED.
