Job summary

OSI Optoelectronics, a division of OSI Systems, is seeking an Assembly & Test Operator in Hawthorne, CA. You will assemble electronic components from written instructions under a microscope using tweezers and perform a range of tests including DC, PIND, temperature and X‑Ray to ensure product quality.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; relevant work experience may substitute for a degree.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment is desirable.
• Familiarity with optical inspection and related processes is ideal.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, Internet and email.
• Ability to handle tweezers, microscopes, alcohol, acetone and solder daily.
• Requires clear vision and excellent manual dexterity.

Responsibilities

• Assemble electronic components from written to oral instructions under a microscope using tweezers.
• Conduct DC and PIND tests as part of quality checks.
• Perform Constant Acceleration and Differential VBE tests.
• Carry out Temp Test and related testing procedures.
• Perform Laser Mark, Solder Dip, X-Ray, Leak Test and External Visual checks.
• Cross-train in other related test areas as production demands require.
