Job summary

OSI Optoelectronics in Camarillo, CA is seeking an assembler to read blueprints and assemble components with precision. You will perform hand soldering, cap welding, and use die attach/encapsulation processes per traveler and drawings.

Working closely with fellow technicians, you will uphold quality standards and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. The role requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and at least 3 years of mechanical assembly experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required. Relevant work experience may be substituted for a degree.
• 3+ years of mechanical assembly experience required.
• Must regularly utilize a microscope and small hand tools for extended periods.
• Good hand-eye coordination and high attention to detail required.
• Must read, write, and communicate in English.

Responsibilities

• Prepare/clean material and products for in-process and final assembly.
• Perform complex die attach using automatic/semi-automatic equipment per drawings.
• Perform complex encapsulation using epoxy per traveler and drawings.
• Operate assembly equipment to complete complex assemblies (pick-and-place, laser marker, ink pad printer, wire bonding, soldering).
• Uphold company values and report quality issues for corrective action.
