As an Optimization Strategist at Gurobi Optimization, you will be pivotal in enhancing the company's presence in academic and commercial sectors through strategic initiatives and innovative engagement strategies. In this role, you are tasked with developing and delivering high-quality thought leadership materials such as presentations, blogs, white papers, and webinars. You will represent Gurobi at various academic and industry events, showcasing our expertise and engaging with key communities. Additionally, you will drive the expansion of Gurobi’s academic and technical communities by creating innovative engagement pathways and enhancing user experience through interactive learning resources. Your efforts will also include leading projects that explore new opportunities to engage audiences and keeping abreast of the latest trends in optimization to contribute to the company's strategic planning.

You will work closely with the Senior Director of Academic Programs and the Vice President of Marketing, shaping and executing impactful education, training, and thought leadership initiatives. This collaboration will ensure that Gurobi's solutions are at the forefront of optimization technology, catering effectively to the needs of both existing and potential users.

What will you be doing?
  • Thought Leadership (30%)
  • Develop and deliver high-quality thought leadership materials, including presentations, blogs, white papers, and webinars.
  • Represent Gurobi at academic and industry conferences, meetings, and events to showcase our expertise.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to craft compelling stories highlighting optimization's role in addressing real-world challenges.
  • Advising on technical marketing material creation for academic and commercial audiences.
  • Community and Platform Development (25%)
  • Drive the expansion of Gurobi’s academic and technical communities by creating innovative engagement pathways.
  • Enhance the user experience by refining certificate programs, gamification tools, and other interactive learning resources.
  • Management of LMS strategy and/or community platform with educational components.
  • Develop strategies to attract and retain academic users and bridge the gap between commercial and academic audiences.
  • Innovation Projects (25%)
  • Lead projects that explore new opportunities to engage academic and commercial audiences.
  • Collaborate across teams to ideate and execute creative initiatives that introduce optimization to new markets and academic disciplines.
  • Contribute to strategic planning by leveraging data-driven insights and emerging industry trends.
  • Gaining Technical Expertise and Staying Up-To-Date with Optimization Tools and Trends (20%)
  • Work among the top experts in the field of Optimization on challenging problems.
  • Help customers by improving our self-service support experience.
  • Keep learning with internal seminars given by our development team.
What experience and qualifications should you have?
  • Bachelor's degree required; Master’s degree preferred in a relevant field.
  • 2-5 years of experience in a SaaS environment, demonstrating a strong capability in content development and training execution.
  • Experience in collaborating with academic institutions or within academic settings is highly regarded.
  • Proven skills in creating robust training materials and conducting in-person and remote training sessions.
  • Excellent command of the English language, with additional language skills considered beneficial.
