Vertex Optics is hiring an Optics Technician to fabricate prototype optical components for aerospace, medical, defense, and energy sectors. You will set up and operate conventional and 5-axis CNC equipment, prepare tooling, and measure with CMM and micrometers while following engineering drawings and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate prototype optical components to high quality standards.
• Set up and operate optical manufacturing equipment or CNC (5-axis) equipment.
• Prepare tooling for grinding, polishing or measurement setups.
• Use measurement devices such as CMM and micrometers.
• Follow engineering drawings, instructions, procedures and schematics.
• Inspect work and maintain high quality; track time and document results.
