Job summary

IDEX Corporation in Colorado is seeking an Optics Technician to develop and improve manufacturing processes for high-precision optical components. The role focuses on manufacturing orders, while collaborating with engineering to drive process development.

You must be self-motivated, able to work unsupervised at times, and have experience with metrology, clean rooms, and ERP workflows. This position offers a path to growth across engineering, manufacturing, and operations.

Qualifications

• Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Familiarity with clean room constraints a plus.
• Experience with optical components is a plus.
• Ability to follow procedures and document processes.

Responsibilities

• High precision optics metrology (interferometry, optical part characterization)
• Cleaning, handling and assembly of optical and opto-electronic components
• Optical contacting
• Cleaning and visual inspection of optical components
• Proper handling and packaging of critical and fragile optical components
• Inventory management of consumables for clean room, manufacturing, and chemical supplies
• Transacts production work orders through ERP
• Follows all safety training and guidelines
