Job summary

EyeCare Partners is seeking an Optician to join our team in Des Peres, MO. This full-time role focuses on dispensing and fitting glasses and contacts, aligning with doctor prescriptions to maximize patient satisfaction and retail success.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma, ABO/ABOC and NCLE certifications preferred, strong communication skills, and the ability to verify insurance and assist patients in choosing frames that suit measurements and needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Previous medical office or ophthalmic experience preferred.
• Minimum 1 year in customer/patient interactions.
• Current ABO/ABOC and NCLE certifications preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Promote frames and lenses recommended by the doctor to meet patient needs.
• Adjust and repair glasses.
• Verify medical and vision insurances.
• Effectively communicate with patients, doctors, and managers.
• Answer inquiries through phone, email, and in person requests.
• Dispense glasses and contacts from prescriptions.
• Maintain inventory and keep areas clean and organized.
• Assist with other duties in the office as needed.
