Job summary

EyeCare Partners seeks an Optician (Optical Technician) for Sabates Eye Centers in Kansas City, MO. You will dispense glasses and contacts, promote frames and lenses prescribed by doctors, and ensure a world-class Total Patient Experience for every patient.

Qualifications include a High School diploma or GED, Optician experience, HIPAA awareness, and the ability to read insurance forms. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook is preferred.

Qualifications

• Optician experience is required.
• HIPAA compliance per company policies.
• Ability to read insurance forms and translate to patient needs.
• Proficient in basic computer tasks and office software.

Responsibilities

• Promote frames and lenses recommended by the doctor to meet patient needs
• Adjust and repair glasses
• Verify medical and vision insurances
• Effectively communicate with patients, doctors, and managers
• Answer inquiries through phone, email, and in person requests
