Eye Trends - Woodlands is seeking an Optician 2 to help patients find eyewear matches and provide top-quality care. The role involves guiding customers through frame and lens choices, taking precise measurements, and dispensing eyewear per optometrist prescriptions.

You'll engage customers with strong communication, maintain accurate records, and support insurance billing while upholding high standards of patient satisfaction in a fast-paced retail setting.

Qualifications

• One to two years of experience in related field
• Applicable State licensure or certification by a nationally recognized optician association as an optician
• Working knowledge of MS Office package
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent interpersonal and rapport-building skills

Responsibilities

• Determine reason for the patient’s visit and deliver eyewear recommendations following the prescription
• Deliver exceptional customer service to attract and retain customers
• Assist customers in frame selection and coordinate measurements and prescription
• Recommend lenses, coatings, and frames to suit needs and features
• Take measurements, assist with adjustments, and dispense eyewear
• Ensure accurate pricing and delivery quotes
• Provide enthusiastic, concise communication to meet patient expectations
• Clean and merchandise display daily
• Assist with insurance billing and processing orders
• Document patient communication in practice software
