AEG Vision in Lincoln, NE is seeking an Optician to provide expert eyewear solutions and exceptional patient care. You will help patients choose frames, lenses, and accessories that fit their prescription, lifestyle, and style, ensuring accurate measurements and proper lens dispensing.

The role emphasizes delivering an extraordinary patient experience, staying current on products, rebates, and lens options, and maintaining accurate records in the EHR/ALE system.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• ABO/NCLE certification is preferred but not required.
• Minimum of one year experience as an optician preferred.
• HIPAA knowledge/experience preferred.
• Proficient PC skills (MS Office, Windows).
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Excellent customer service and sales experience.
• Manual dexterity and fine motor skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver extraordinary patient experience by explaining products and services.
• Receive patient handoff from technicians/doctors and identify visual needs.
• Keep up to date on products, rebates, lenses, and frame options.
• Enter prescriptions into EHR/ALE accurately and document properly.
• Follow up on orders and inform patients of status.
• Dispense glasses with proper fit and adjustments.
• Educate on care, warranties, and replacement options.
