Job summary

Keplr Vision is seeking an Optician I to travel among the five Nittany Eye Associates locations. The role focuses on reviewing prescriptions, educating patients on lens options, assisting with frame choices, and meeting sales goals while ensuring patient satisfaction.

Experience in optical settings is preferred but not required, as we provide training for the right candidate. The position reports to the Practice Manager and is a full-time role in Pennsylvania.

General Job Description & Responsibilities

• Review Physician’s prescriptions and orders based on medical charts
• Educate patients on their corrective lens options and help them make a choice that fits their medical needs as well as lifestyle preferences
• Provide honest but compassionate feedback about aesthetic choices in frames
• Achieve sales goals and quotas as determined by office staff while attending to patients’ specific needs and desires
• Manage inventory of frames and contact lenses to ensure optimum customer satisfaction and product variety
• Communicate with physician with questions or concerns about prescriptions and other eye-related issues
• Perform adjustments and repairs of eyewear
• Place optical orders with a general understanding of insurance benefits
