Uptown Vision, located at 3553 Hennepin Ave, Minneapolis, MN, seeks an Optician I to ensure patients receive high-quality eye care. You will review prescriptions, educate patients on lens options, and help them choose frames that fit medical needs and lifestyle.

Experience in optics is not required—we offer training. The role includes sales goals, inventory management, and assisting with insurance-based orders; reports to the Practice Manager at Uptown Vision.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service skills and professional presentation.
• 0–3 years of experience requested.
• Coachable and adaptable with a willingness to learn.

Responsabilités

• Review Physician's prescriptions and orders based on medical charts
• Educate patients on their corrective lens options and help them make a choice that fits their medical needs as well as lifestyle preferences
• Provide honest but compassionate feedback about aesthetic choices in frames
• Achieve sales goals and quotas as determined by office staff while attending to patients' specific needs and desires
• Manage inventory of frames and contact lenses to ensure optimum customer satisfaction and product variety
• Communicate with physician with questions or concerns about prescriptions and other eye-related issues
• Perform adjustments and repairs of eyewear
• Place optical orders with a general understanding of insurance benefits
