Job summary

AEG Vision is seeking an Optician to provide expert eyewear solutions and exceptional patient care. You will assist patients in selecting frames and lenses, ensure accurate measurements, and dispense prescriptions with quality and precision.

Responsibilities include interpreting prescriptions, updating the EHR, handling orders, and delivering an outstanding patient experience while maintaining high standards of service and product knowledge.

Qualifications

• High School or GED required.
• ABO/NCLE certification preferred but not required.
• Minimum of one year experience as an Optician preferred.
• HIPAA knowledge/experience preferred.
• Proficient with MS Office, Windows, and word processing.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional patient experience by explaining products and services clearly.
• Greet patients, assess visual needs with lifestyle questions, and recommend frames and lenses.
• Stay updated on current products, rebates, lenses, and frame options.
• Handle order status calls with patients and escalate issues to management when needed.
• Assist with selecting frames, lenses, and treatments including coatings and tints.
• Educate patients on eyewear care, warranty, insurance details, and coverage.
