Job summary

CEENTA in Charlotte, NC seeks an experienced Optician to deliver high‑quality optical services to patients. You will assist with eyewear selection, verify prescriptions, and process orders in a friendly, patient‑centered manner.

The role involves operating lensometers and pupilometers, coordinating with vendors, managing inventory, and keeping the optical space welcoming. A high school diploma and 3+ years in optics are preferred; ABO certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 3+ years of optical experience preferred.
• 3+ years of customer service and/or sales experience preferred.
• ABO Certification preferred.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and EMR systems.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist patients in a professional manner.
• Enter and manage eyewear orders using POS and EMR.
• Educate patients on frames, lens materials, coatings, and specialty products.
• Verify prescriptions and measurements.
• Operate optical equipment such as lensometers and pupilometers.
• Troubleshoot eyewear concerns and adjustments.
• Oversee optical dispensary operations including vendor relations and inventory.
• Maintain a clean, welcoming optical space.
