Job summary

EyeCare Partners in Charlotte, NC seeks an Optical Technician to enhance the Total Patient Experience while supporting medical needs. You will dispense glasses and contacts based on prescriptions from Optometrists and Ophthalmologists and guide patients to the right frames and lenses.

The role requires familiarity with eye measurements and lens options, and the ability to operate lensometry equipment. A high school diploma is required; ABO/NCLE certifications are a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 1 year in a role interacting with customers/patients.
• ABO/NCLE certifications preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Embrace and execute our Total Patient Experience to build relationships with patients while delivering medical support.
• Assist patients in selecting frames and lenses, coordinating measurements with prescriptions.
• Operate auto-lensometer and manual lensometer and dispense orders.
• Educate and recommend lenses, coatings, and frames to suit patient needs.
• Collect measurements such as PD, bridge, eye size, and pantoscopic tilt.
