Job summary

AEG Vision is seeking a qualified Optician to provide expert eyewear solutions and exceptional patient care. You will assist patients in selecting frames and lenses, ensure accurate measurements, and dispense eyewear with a focus on quality and satisfaction.

You will interpret prescriptions, communicate with clinicians, and maintain up-to-date knowledge of lens technologies, warranties, and insurance benefits.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Proficiency with PC applications (MS Office) and basic computer tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients in selecting eyewear and accessories based on prescription, lifestyle, and style.
• Explain products and services to patients and provide personalized recommendations.
• Enter prescription data into the EHR/ALE system accurately.
• Take and dispense eyewear, ensuring proper fit and comfort.
• Coordinate with technicians and doctors to hand off patient information and status updates.
• Maintain knowledge of lenses, frames, coatings, and insurance basics.
