Job summary

AEG Vision is seeking an Optician to provide expert eyewear solutions and exceptional patient care at our Hugo location. You will help patients select frames, lenses, and coatings, ensure correct measurements, and dispense eyewear with a focus on quality and satisfaction.

You will interpret prescriptions, enter data into the EHR, and stay current on products, warranties, and insurance benefits, while maintaining strong patient relationships and teamwork with technicians and doctors.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• ABO/NCLE preferred but not required.
• Minimum one-year experience as an Optician preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients in selecting eyewear and accessories that fit their prescription, lifestyle, and personal style.
• Enter all prescription information into the Electronic Health Record (EHR) and ALE system.
• Educate patients on proper eyeglass and contact lens care, insurance, and warranty options.
• Ensure proper frame fit, lens dispensing, and patient satisfaction.
• Follow up on orders and communicate status to patients.
