Job summary

American Vision Partners (AVP), located in Mesa, Arizona, is looking for an Optician committed to providing exceptional patient care. You'll assist patients in selecting eyewear and ensure proper fittings and adjustments. Candidates with a high school diploma or GED and strong customer service skills are encouraged to apply. Previous optical experience is preferred but training is available for motivated individuals.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Previous optical experience preferred; willing to train if eager to learn.
• ABO and NCLE is a plus, will be required within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with selecting and ordering eyewear.
• Take optical measurements necessary for eyewear preparation.
• Perform quality inspection of lenses and frames.
• Adjust eyewear to patient and instruct on handling.
• Maintain equipment and inventory of supplies.
