Job summary

AEG Vision is seeking an Optician to provide expert eyewear solutions and exceptional patient care. You will help patients choose frames and lenses that fit their prescription and lifestyle, ensure proper fit and accurate dispensing, and update patient records with prescriptions in the EHR and ALE systems.

The role emphasizes service quality, product knowledge, and effective communication with patients, technicians, and management to maintain satisfaction and trust.

Qualifications

• High School or GED.
• ABO/NCLE preferred but not required.
• Minimum of one-year experience working as an Optician strongly preferred.
• Experience with HIPAA requirements preferred.
• PC skills to include MS Office, Windows.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
• Excellent customer service skills and pleasant demeanor; sales experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients in selecting eyewear and accessories that fit prescription, lifestyle and personal style.
• Ensure proper frame fit, accurate measurements, and correct lens dispensing.
• Enter prescription information into the EHR and ALE system; attach documentation to patient chart.
• Provide complete understanding of recommendations for products and services.
• Educate patients on eyewear care, warranties, and insurance coverage.
