Job summary

Corning Inc. in Texas seeks a Laboratory Technician to perform verification, qualification, and reliability testing of optical telecommunications products in a lab environment.

You will set up fiber optic testing systems, configure samples for environmental and mechanical tests, perform measurements, document progress, and help with data analysis while maintaining safety and organization.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Hands-on technical skills with test equipment and fiber optics.
• Experience using Word, PowerPoint, and Excel is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a team.
• Laboratory experience is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Set up and verify fiber optic testing systems.
• Configure samples for environmental and mechanical testing.
• Perform optical measurements with manual or automated systems.
• Operate environmental chambers and test equipment.
• Track, document, and report testing progress and results.
• Assist with data analysis and draft test reports.
• Support failure analysis and troubleshooting.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area.
