Clarkson Eyecare in Washington, MO is seeking an Optical Technician (Optician) who will dispense and fit glasses and contacts under prescriptions from Optometrists and Ophthalmologists, contributing to a world-class Total Patient Experience.

This role requires strong customer service and precision in measurements, with proficiency in common software. Full-time hours and a comprehensive benefits package are offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Previous medical office experience is preferred; ophthalmic experience strongly preferred.
• Minimum 1 year in a role interacting with customers/patients or the equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Deliver the Total Patient Experience to build relationships while delivering medical support.
• Assist patients in selecting frames according to style and measurements.
• Operate the auto-lensometer and manual lensometer.
• Educate and recommend lenses, coatings, and frames to meet patient needs.
• Take precise measurements (bridge, eye size, temple length, PD, pantoscopic tilt).
• Dispense glasses and contact lens orders in E360.
