Clarkson Eyecare in Rock Hill, MO is hiring an Optical Technician (Optician) to dispense and fit glasses and contacts based on prescriptions from optometrists and ophthalmologists. This role emphasizes delivering a world-class Total Patient Experience while maximizing retail sales and supporting patients' medical needs.

The position trains you on auto-lensometer and lensometry, with full benefits, PTO, and a competitive base pay.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to read and interpret insurance forms.
• Minimum 1 year in a customer/patient-facing role preferred.
• ABO/ABOC and NCLE certifications preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver the Total Patient Experience and build relationships with patients.
• Assist patients in selecting frames coordinating with measurements and prescriptions.
• Operate the auto-lensometer and manual lensometer.
• Dispense glasses and contact lens orders in E360.
• Maintain inventory and support office duties as needed.
