Job summary

Clarkson Eyecare is seeking an Optical Technician to dispense and fit glasses and contact lenses from prescriptions written by optometrists. You will deliver a world-class Total Patient Experience that supports both medical needs and retail goals, connecting patient needs to the goods and services we offer in a friendly, professional setting.

Responsibilities include assisting patients with frame selection, taking precise measurements, operating auto-lensometer and manual lensometer,

Qualifications

• Must have HS diploma or GED.
• Previous medical office experience preferred; ophthalmic experience preferred.
• Minimum 1 year in a role interacting with customers/patients.

Responsibilities

• Deliver world-class Total Patient Experience and support medical needs.
• Assist patients in selecting frames per style and measurements.
• Operate the auto-lensometer and manual lensometer.
• Educate and recommend lenses, coatings and frames to suit needs.
• Dispense glasses/contacts and maintain organized work area.
