Job summary

West Point Optical Group seeks an Optician to deliver an exceptional patient experience and support doctor satisfaction in a fast-paced retail setting.

You will fill eyeglass prescriptions, fit lenses and frames, and advise on lenses/coatings while ensuring accurate pricing and timely delivery. You’ll help patients choose frames, coordinate prescriptions, and participate in managed care guidance and store merchandising.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail or customer service environment.
• Proven ability to present and implement decisive, creative growth solutions.
• Enthusiastic and concise communication to meet/exceed patient expectations.
• Foster positive and results-oriented associate and doctor relationships.
• Attention to detail and follow-up.

• State licensure or certification by a nationally-recognized opticianry association as an optician.

Responsibilities

• Drive store sales by fostering a retail selling culture.
• Develop professional relationships with associates and doctors.
• Fill eyeglass prescriptions and fit lenses and frames.
• Advise on lenses and coatings to suit patient needs.
• Assist patients with frame selection and alignment to prescriptions.
• Provide guidance on Managed Vision Care.
• Ensure accurate pricing, POS entry, and delivery quotes.
• Merchandise the store per Planogram and standards.
• Support Marketing programs and signage per company standards.
• Other duties as assigned by Store Manager.
