Job summary

The Eye Doctors in Topeka, KS is seeking an Optical Technician / Optician to dispense and fit glasses and contacts, based on prescriptions from Optometrists and Ophthalmologists. You will connect patient needs to our optical products and services while supporting total patient experience.

Responsibilities include assisting with frame selection, taking precise measurements, and using lensometry equipment, with emphasis on HIPAA compliance and excellent, friendly service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• ABO/ABOC and NCLE certifications preferred, but not required.
• Experience in a medical/ophthalmic office is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Build relationships with patients while delivering medical support.
• Determine patient needs and help exceed expectations through sales and service.
• Assist with frame selection, measurements, and order dispensing.
• Operate optical measurement and dispensing equipment.
• Educate patients on lenses, coatings, and frames.
