Walmart is seeking an Optical Associate at our Humble, TX location to stock, display, and manage the Optical area while assisting members with eyewear selection, measurements, and repairs. You will process orders, verify prescriptions, coordinate with labs, and support OD services.

This role involves POS transactions and patient interactions in a retail health-care setting. Responsibilities include instrument calibration, inventory control, and ensuring compliance with HIPAA and company

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent within 12 months to sit for ABO exam.
• Must obtain ABO certification within 15 months of hire.
• Must obtain state-required optician licensure within 3–18 months of hire.

Responsabilités

• Stock and organize displays; handle claims and returns; process payments and exchanges.
• Assist customers with eyewear selection, measurements, and adjustments; verify prescription data.
• Process eyewear and contact lens orders and coordinate with labs/optometrists.
• Schedule appointments and assist in pre-testing; maintain HIPAA-compliant records.
