Job summary

Sam's Club in Conroe, TX is seeking an Optical Associate to assist members with eyewear purchases, measure pupillary distance, and process eyewear and contact lens orders. You will stock the Optical area, handle claims and returns, and operate the POS system for payments and refunds.

You will educate members on eyewear care, ensure accurate prescription verification, and maintain records in compliance with HIPAA.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent to sit for ABO exam.
• ABO certification within 15 months of hire as required.
• Ability to work in a retail optical environment with customers.

Responsibilities

• Stock and organize the Optical area and process orders and returns.
• Assist members with eyewear purchases, measure pupillary distance, and fit frames.
• Operate the POS system and handle payments and refunds according to policy.
• Maintain HIPAA-compliant records and support OD services as needed.
• Participate in ongoing trainings to maintain required certifications.
