Job summary

Sam's Club is seeking an Optical Associate in Sherman, TX to maintain the Optical area, stock merchandise, and assist members with eyewear purchases and services. You will measure pupillary distance, adjust frames, process eyewear and contact lens orders, and support OD services under supervision.

The role involves HIPAA-compliant record keeping, assisting with appointments and insurance processing, and leveraging lab communications for product updates and repairs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent upon job entry or within 12 months to sit for ABO exam.
• Must obtain ABO certification within 15 months of hire.
• Will require state licensure/apprenticeship for optical work within 3–18 months, depending on state requirements.

Responsibilities

• Maintain merchandise presentation in the Optical area, stock and organize displays, and manage pricing and signs.
• Handle claims, returns, and shrink in the Optical area; process sales and refunds via POS.
