Job summary

Sam's Club in Clarksville, IN, is seeking an Optical Associate to maintain displays, stock merchandise, and handle member purchases on the POS. You will measure pupillary distance, verify prescriptions, and assist with eyewear orders under supervision.

You will also educate members on eyewear care, coordinate with labs and optometrists, and ensure compliance with HIPAA and store policies. Training and licensure support are provided where required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
• ABO certification within 15 months of hire.
• Licensure as apprentice or licensed optician per state requirements.

Responsibilities

• Stock and organize Optical area merchandise and displays.
• Operate POS, process member purchases, payments, returns and exchanges.
• Educate members on eyewear care and assist with lens orders.
• Measure pupillary distance and verify prescriptions.
• Coordinate with labs/optometrists and complete eyewear repairs.
• Maintain HIPAA-compliant records and support appointments.
