Shopko Optical in Monroe, WI is seeking a Full-time Optical Sales Associate to join our team. On-the-job training is provided and no experience is necessary.

You will provide excellent customer and patient service in selecting, ordering and dispensing eyewear, prepare work orders for the Optical Lab, and assist with prescriptions and repairs. Competitive benefits and flexible hours are offered.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Maintaining state license as required.
• Shopko OCE Certification requirements completed.
• Previous office or optical dispensing experience preferred.
• Ability to handle multiple customer interactions at once.
• Ability to analyze prescriptions and repairs.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer and patient service in selecting, ordering and dispensing eyewear.
• Complete pre-screening activities prior to patient exams and prepare work orders for Optical Lab.
• Process medical billing information and maintain frame inventory.
• Assist patients with frame selections, repairs and adjustments.
• Explain lenses, coatings and promotions to patients and customers.
• Operate a cash register and optical equipment; work extended hours as needed.
• Travel not required; work schedule includes evenings and weekends.
