Job summary

Shopko Optical in Watertown, WI seeks a Full-time Optical Sales Associate to provide exceptional customer service and assist with eyewear selection, ordering and dispensing. On-the-job training is provided; prior experience is helpful but not required.

Responsibilities include assisting patients, processing eyewear orders, and supporting the Optical Lab. You will also handle billing, inventory, and basic merchandising while upholding company standards.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or equivalent.
• Maintain license as required by state.
• To become Certified, teammate must complete Shopko OCE Certification requirements and calendar modules.
• Previous experience in an office and/or optical dispensing is preferred.
• Able to handle multiple customer interactions/phone calls at a time.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer and patient service according to company and Optical Center standards.
• Analyze patient eyewear needs and recommend lenses, coatings and frames.
• Assist patients in selecting frames according to style and color; ensure proper measurements and prescriptions.
• Order and dispense eyewear accurately and professionally; assist with repairs and adjustments.
• Show patients how to insert, remove and care for their contact lenses; assist Optometrist with case histories and screenings.
