Job summary

Shopko Optical in Rochester, MN is seeking a Full-time Optical Sales Associate to join our team. On-the-job training provided; no experience is necessary.

Provide excellent patient and customer service in the selection, ordering and dispensing eyewear, assist with frames, lenses, and contact lenses, and support the Optometrist with case histories and screenings while maintaining accurate billing and inventory.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or equivalent.
• Maintain license as required by state (if applicable).
• On-the-job training provided; no experience necessary.
• Previous experience in an office/optical dispensing is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent patient and customer service according to company and Optical Center standards.
• Analyze patient eyewear needs.
• Recommend lenses, coatings and frames to satisfy patient needs.
• Assist patients in selecting frames; ensure proper measurements and prescriptions.
• Order and dispense eyewear accurately and professionally.
• Assist patients with frame repairs and adjustments; care for contact lenses.
• Assist Optometrist with case histories and screenings.
• Process medical billing information and maintain frame inventory.
