Responsibilities

• Greet and assist patients with frame and lens selection to match their prescription and personal style.
• Educate patients on eyewear options, coatings, and lens technology.
• Take accurate measurements and assist Opticians with fittings and adjustments.
• Verify vision insurance eligibility and benefits for eyewear and contact lenses.
• Process payments and maintain accurate sales and patient records.
• Inspect and check in all optical orders for accuracy and quality.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting optical display area.
• Collaborate with the Optical Manager and team to meet department goals.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Location: Quincy, MA (travel required to Norwell, Norwood, and Weymouth – mileage reimbursed)
Pay Range: $19–$22 per hour (based on experience)

The Nielsen Eye Center is a leading ophthalmology and eye care practice specializing in LASIK, cataract surgery, and comprehensive optical services. With offices in Quincy, Norwell, Norwood, and Weymouth, we’re dedicated to providing patients with exceptional care using advanced technology and personalized attention.

We are seeking an Optical Sales Associate to join our growing team. This position is perfect for someone who enjoys helping patients find eyewear that fits their needs and style, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and values outstanding customer service.

Position Summary

As an Optical Sales Associate, you’ll play a key role in guiding patients through frame and lens selection, verifying insurance benefits, and ensuring every patient has a positive, personalized experience. This position requires strong sales and communication skills, attention to detail, and a caring, professional demeanor.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet and assist patients with frame and lens selection to match their prescription and personal style.
• Educate patients on eyewear options, coatings, and lens technology.

• Bilingual skills (Mandarin, Cantonese, Vietnamese, Spanish, or Portuguese) are highly valued.

Full-Time: 40 hours per week, eligible for full benefits after 90 days.
Part-Time: Up to 29 hours per week

Typical Office Hours:

• Monday & Friday: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
• Tuesday–Thursday: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
• Some Saturdays (Rotating): 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM
