Job summary

CACI International in Orlando seeks a Manufacturing Project Lead to oversee the production of Photonics programs, guiding PMs, engineers, and manufacturing teams to move products from development to initial and full-rate production.

The role requires strong optical/electronic manufacturing experience, DoD program exposure preferred, and the ability to communicate with technically oriented customers and leadership to drive decisions.

Qualifications

Five or more years of experience in manufacturing project management or technical leadership focused on optical/electronic products.
Knowledge of PM principles and a standard PM toolkit (scheduling, budget control, risk management).
Experience taking an electronics/optical system from development to manufacturing.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering, science, manufacturing or business.
U.S. citizen.
Proficiency with Microsoft Project or similar scheduling tool.
Excellent verbal and written communication with all levels.

Responsibilities

Lead production of Photonics programs, coordinating with the Program Manager, Lead Engineers, and development/ Manufacturing teams.
Ensure new Photonics systems are production-ready and move to initial and full-rate production for delivery to customers.
Communicate with technically oriented customers and interface with development teams for Design For Manufacturing (DFM).
Identify and implement evolving manufacturing and quality best practices within the team and drive improvements.
Support the transition to production and contribute to process improvements across the organization.
