Job summary

CACI International Inc. is seeking an Optical Manufacturing Engineer to join our engineering team in Orlando, FL. You will lead a skilled group of manufacturing and test engineers and drive optical/photonics manufacturing initiatives.

You will collaborate with design teams to embed DFM principles, expand facilities as needed, and monitor process capabilities to improve efficiency and reduce costs. Occasional travel is expected up to 10% to other sites or customer locations.

Qualifications

• Requires proven experience leading a team of manufacturing/test engineers.
• Ability to guide team through solving manufacturing and test-Engineering issues.
• Proven ability to influence design-for-manufacturing changes.
• Understanding of high-volume electro-optical manufacturing and test concepts.

Responsibilities

• Provide vision and direction for implementing leading-edge photonics technologies.
• Lead and support equipment and facilities expansion.
• Implement process-capability monitoring and SPC in production.
• Drive optimization of products for manufacturability, cycle time, and cost reductions.
• Collaborate with design teams to ensure DFM is incorporated into products.
