Job summary

Warby Parker is seeking an Optical Manager to lead our in-house Optical team and coach a group of Opticians. You will consult with customers, take measurements, ensure fittings meet standards, and explain prescription terminology with confidence.

You will manage performance, foster an encouraging work environment, and coordinate the Optician Apprentice Program while aligning with store goals and policies.

Qualifications

• Licensed dispensing optician in states requiring a license or ABO-certified in non-licensing states.
• Minimum 2 years in a management position leading Opticians.
• Strong leadership, mentoring, and people-development capabilities.
• Excellent communication and professional demeanor with customers and team.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coach the store Opticians, providing feedback and development conversations.
• Consult with customers to meet eyewear needs and explain prescription terminology.
• Oversee scheduling, staffing needs, and Optician Apprentice Program participants.
• Uphold service standards and implement programs to boost loyalty and engagement.
• Support store systems, inventory, and general operations.
